Crash courses are a good way to start children who have not done pre school lessons. The children come every day for one week (monday to friday). We take children from the crash courses into regular lessons when spaces become available. Most courses are for beginners and early stage swimmers. We do sometimes run stroke specific courses, survival courses, starts and turns and improvers.
Here are some frequently asked question
When are the crash courses?
We run 3 weeks during the summer holidays each year. The dates are confirmed around Easter time of that year. The dates of this years courses are on our home page of this site.
When and how can I book?
Drop us an email with name, age, ability, and prefered week, AM or PM. We will do our best to find a place. We open the booking after Easter each year. The lessons usually fill up by early June.
How do I judge ability?
Tell us things like if you swim regular as a family, never go swimming, is your child happy out of depth with or without floats, has no fear, clings like a limpet around your neck, can put face in or swim on back.
How much are the courses?
Last year a crash course was £30.00 per child per week. This year will probably be the same.
What happens after the crash course?
We will look to those who have done crash courses to fill spaces in our regular lessons. We will keep names, days you can do and ability on our list. We will also keep you informed about upcoming crash courses before opening them up to the general public. We cannot guarantee spaces in regular lessons however.
